ALEX GAMSU JENKINS

— BIO
Alex Gamsu Jenkins is a freelance illustrator and animation director from South London. A graduate of Camberwell College of Arts (BA Illustration, 2015), he has built a singular visual language of satirical surrealism — grotesque, goblin-like characters rendered in grainy, newsprint-tinged scenes laced with dark humour.
Since launching his practice he has worked with Adobe, Vice, The New York Times, Netflix and a long list of cultural and editorial clients, and has shown internationally — Pictoplasma in Berlin, Pixel Festival in São Paulo, Nicer Tuesdays in London, Metric Market in Barcelona. As an animation director he is represented by Strangebeast. His work walks a careful line between cartoon innocence and adult unease, turning everyday anxieties into vivid, slightly monstrous theatre.
